AURA CHALLENGE The idea is to generate awareness for global warming the green peace way. CONCEPT Ghandhi the sage with his ever positive attitude and a mega watts smile, is positioned in front of a go-green aura as the back-drop. It will beg to differ its messages with a more intense contradictions while at the same time beg to forgive the subtle imageries with a feel-good implications. I have chosen to draw Gandhi based on the grayscale book cover of him by… It started from a racially stereotypical joke by Hillary Rodham Clinton linking Mahatma Gandhi to gas kiosk at St Louis. This psyche is shared by others among the crowd who laughed at the joke. I would say it is an appropriate approach to speech making but inappropriate example for the built up to the spoof of “…then they laugh at you…”Hillary is attempting at. Full quote is stated as below. "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." We are all racists differ only by degrees whether we like it or not. It is the stereotypical associations that are given a hierarchical status that is preventing us from celebrating our differences. That is the hard notion to swallow and accept by the proclaimed “superiors” and those who benefited from the same process of stereotypical association that disparage them at the same time. Gandhi once said, "An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind." In this instance, a better world might be a blinded one.On the bright side, we have two chances at it for most of us. I like to demonstrate how
associations can be embedded with stereotype. I am going to associate
Gandhi now literally with petrol! In conjunction with Gandhi non-violence
protest, i wonder what is Gandhi’s view with regard to global
warming and Exxon?
Will it be go green with BP? Or should we all just take a walkabout
like he always does? Don’t think too hard and don’t
take it to heart. After all, the hero of my dear friend is always
smiling at all the stupidity of happenings in the world around him.
Hey…what’s coming from behind Gandhi? Is that a green
aura of a Tibetan monk or BP’s …This is my lame attempt
