CHALLENGE

To bring to light the senseless violence among teenagers.

CONCEPT

The idea that shooting a butterfly with a gun by a teenager is more senseless than an albino graffiti artist taking his albino dog for a walk on his skateboard.

CONTEXT

Illustration is based on a style by one of my favorite band, Gorillaz, which does not even exist in person. Reality and fantasy is blurring their boundaries with games like “grand theft auto” ruling the heyday. Where can the blame really be channeled as I will not surprise if there are games like these in their room. Or is it the readily available firepower in the name of freedom? Maybe the lyrics of this song. Kids With Guns (album: Demon Days), by the band Gorillaz might help:
